Samaritan’s Purse, a national disaster relief organization, established a temporary facility in the Kapalua community to help residents following the devastating Lāhainā fires.
Volunteers are helping residents recover personal items from their properties after losing their homes to the fires – something they also did for residents in Kula. The new hub, located in a vacant lot next to Kapalua Preschool, is temporary and there is no impact to the environment. All facilities will be removed when Samaritan’s Purse completes its volunteer support on Maui.
